(1) An Industrial and Investment Promotion Board has been constituted as follows:-
(a) Minister of Employment, Commerce and Supply or Minister of State - Chairman
(b) Member, National Planning Commission (Viewing Industrial Sector) - Member
(c) Governor, Nepal Rastra Bank - Member
(d) Secretary, Ministry (Looking after Industry Related Matters) - Member
(e) Secretary, Ministry of Finance - Member
(f) Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security - Member
(g) Secretary, Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation - Member
(h) Secretary, Ministry of Forests and Environment - Member
(i) Chief Executive Officer, Board of Investment Nepal - Member
(h) Joint Secretary, Industrial and Investment Promotion Division, Ministry - Member
(k) President, Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Member
(l) President, Confederation of Nepal Industry - Member
(D) President, Nepal Domestic and Small Industries Federation - Member
(d) President, Women Entrepreneurs Federation or Member
(n) Two members nominated by the Ministry including at least one woman entrepreneur from among the industry experts - members
(h) Director General, Industries Department -Member-Secretary.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in clause (a) of sub-section (1), in case both a minister and a minister of state are appointed in the ministry, the minister of state shall be a member of the board.
(3) If the board deems it necessary, the experts of the related subject, any officials or authorized employees of the government of Nepal or the provincial government may be invited to the meeting of the board.
(4) The meeting of the Board shall be held at least once in two months and may be held at any time as required.
(5) The member secretary of the board shall determine the agenda to be presented in the meeting of the board in consultation with the chairman of the board and provide the information to all members at least twenty four hours before the meeting of the board.
(6) If a member of the Board has any personal interest or interest in relation to any agenda submitted for decision in the meeting of the Board, he shall not participate in the decision-making process related to such agenda.
(7) If a decision is found to be contrary to sub-section (6), such decision shall automatically be void.
(8) The decisions made by the board shall be verified by the member-secretary.
(9) The Secretariat of the Board shall be in the Department.
(10) Other procedures related to the meeting of the Board shall be as determined by the Board itself.
